As Senior Assistant Managing Editor for Visuals & Graphics, a masthead-level newsroom role, I’ve excelled in overseeing the visual elements of our newspaper. I collaborate with Photo Editors, Photographers, Graphic Artists, and Web Programmers to produce visually striking narratives that resonate with our audience.

One of my career highlights was being part of a Pulitzer Prize-winning team in 2019 for Breaking News Reporting. This accolade is a testament to my commitment to capturing compelling stories and presenting them in a way that leaves a lasting impression.

Beyond my editorial duties, I bring strategic planning and budget management skills to the table. I’ve successfully managed department budgets always upholding a commitment to excellence.

I’m an active participant in industry initiatives, such as representing the editorial staff in the Pittsburgh Media Partnership program. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Photography from Columbia College Chicago and have advanced proficiency in multimedia software including Photoshop, Photo Mechanic, iMovie, Sony Imaging Edge Mobile, WordPress, Nikon Snapbridge, and various DAM and CMS platforms. These technical skills enable me to bring stories to life through visually captivating presentations.

A noteworthy achievement this year has been the success of the interactives I’ve managed. This year they have accumulated 475,151 pageviews and attracted 328,410 total users, resulting in approximately 600 conversions from the News Interactive paywall.
